Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 T. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • In a large bowl, beat butter and both sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Mix well.
  • In a small bowl mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Then add to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  • Add oats and chocolate chips. Mix well.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets
  • Bake 9-10 minutes for chewy cookies. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, then transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.
