French Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 6 slices bread I like to use honey wheat
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 T. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • generous sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.,
  • Melt butter in a skillet or on a griddle.
  • Dip both sides of the bread into the egg mixture quickly. Do not soak the bread, just coat both sides of the bread nicely and let the excess drip off.
  • Place the bread on the heated and buttered griddle or skillet and cook about 3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
