Homemade Applesauce (Slow Cooker)

Ingredients
  

  • 14 apples (Approximately) I like to use several different varieties mixed together
  • 2 T. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Peel and quarter the apples, removing the core.
  • In a large slow cooker, add all the apples and toss with lemon juice, cinnamon and nutmeg until evenly coated.
  • Cover and cook on low for about four hours until apples are soft. (The large the apple pieces the longer it will take. If they are large apples I sometimes cut the quarters into slightly smaller pieces).
  • Blend with an immersion blender.
  • Allow to cool to a good temperature and enjoy!
